Yogurt candy manufacturers

When sourcing yogurt candy, prioritize products containing real yogurt powder or lactic acid bacteria cultures rather than just artificial flavorings. Key quality indicators include a smooth texture without graininess, a balanced sweet-to-tart ratio, and the use of natural colorants (like beetroot red or beta-carotene). For health-conscious markets, look for low-sugar or xylitol-based alternatives and ensure the protein content meets your brand's nutritional claims.

Suppliers must adhere to rigorous food safety management systems. Ensure the manufacturer holds HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and ISO 22000 certifications. For specific markets, verify compliance with FDA (U.S.), EFSA (EU), or GB standards (China). If targeting specific consumer groups, request Halal or Kosher certifications, and always ensure the labeling complies with local regulations, including clear allergen warnings (e.g., milk/dairy).

Yogurt candies are sensitive to moisture and temperature. Opt for individual foil-sealed packaging or multi-layer composite films with high oxygen and moisture barrier properties to ensure a shelf life of 12 to 24 months. For retail appeal, consider stand-up pouches with resealable zippers or eco-friendly biodegradable materials, which are increasingly preferred by global B2B buyers.

Yes, most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer extensive OEM/ODM services. You can customize the flavor profile (e.g., strawberry, peach, or plain yogurt), shape (tablets, chews, or cubes), and functional additives like probiotics, Vitamin C, or calcium. Ensure the supplier can provide customized packaging design and has a reasonable Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) for new mold development.

The biggest risks are temperature fluctuations during transit and customs rejection due to non-compliant additives. Yogurt-based products can soften or lose flavor if exposed to extreme heat. Use temperature-controlled containers (Reefer) for large shipments and always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to ensure all ingredients are permitted in the destination country.

Utilize Secure Payment services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until delivery. Negotiate a staged payment term (e.g., 30% deposit, 70% against Bill of Lading) and insist on a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek to verify that the candy's taste, texture, and packaging match the approved samples.

Choose freight forwarders experienced in food-grade logistics. Ensure the shipping route is optimized to minimize transit time, reducing the risk of spoilage. For small trial orders, air freight is safer for maintaining freshness, while for bulk orders, sea freight with moisture-absorbent silica gel packs inside the cartons is essential to prevent 'sweating' of the candy.
