Summer shirt manufacturers

For summer shirts, prioritize breathability and moisture-wicking properties. Look for fabrics like 100% Linen, Long-staple Cotton, or Tencel blends. Ensure the fabric weight is between 100-130 GSM (Grams per Square Meter) for a lightweight feel. For performance or outdoor summer shirts, verify UPF (Ultraviolet Protection Factor) ratings of 30+ or 50+ to ensure sun protection compliance.

Request technical specs for stitch density, which should ideally be 12-14 stitches per inch (SPI) for high-end garments. Check for reinforced seams (such as flat-felled seams) to prevent fraying. Ensure colorfastness to perspiration and light meets Grade 4 or higher on the ISO 105 scale to prevent fading during intense summer sun exposure.

For the US market, products must comply with CPSIA (especially for children's wear) and FTC labeling requirements (fiber content, country of origin, and care instructions). For the EU, ensure adherence to REACH regulations regarding Azo dyes and harmful chemicals. Obtaining OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification is a strong indicator of safety and environmental compliance.

Yes, most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. This includes custom woven labels, hangtags, and branded buttons. For printing, choose between Digital Printing for complex patterns with low MOQs or Screen Printing for cost-effective large-scale production. Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) to verify logo placement and color accuracy.

Size standards vary significantly between Asian, European, and American markets. Always provide a detailed Size Specification Chart in centimeters. Do not rely on labels like 'L' or 'XL'. Require the supplier to perform a final measurement inspection where a percentage of the bulk is measured against your chart, allowing for a tolerance of +/- 1cm to 1.5cm.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate based on volume tiers; for example, a 5,000-unit order should yield a 10-20% discount compared to a 500-unit order. Discuss payment terms such as a 30% deposit and 70% balance after a successful third-party QC inspection but before shipment to ensure leverage.

Summer shirts are seasonal, so timing is critical. Use FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over shipping costs and schedules. For urgent restocks, consider Air Freight, but for bulk seasonal launches, Sea Freight is more economical. Ensure your supplier provides a Packing List and Commercial Invoice that matches the HTS code for 'Men's or Women's Shirts' to avoid customs delays.
