Smart door manufacturers

When sourcing smart doors, you must prioritize biometric accuracy, connectivity protocols, and material durability. Look for fingerprint sensors with a False Recognition Rate (FRR) of <0.01%. Ensure the door supports stable connectivity via Wi-Fi, Zigbee, or Bluetooth, and check for AES-128 bit encryption to prevent hacking. The door structure itself should ideally be made of 304 stainless steel or aviation-grade aluminum to ensure physical security and weather resistance.

Compliance is critical for cross-border trade. For the US market, ensure the electronic components are FCC certified and the lock cylinders meet ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 or 2 standards. For the European market, CE marking and RoHS compliance are mandatory. Additionally, check for fire-rated certifications (e.g., UL 10C or EN 1634) if the doors are intended for multi-family residential or commercial buildings.

A reliable smart door must have a robust power solution. Verify that the battery life lasts at least 10-12 months under normal use. It is essential that the product includes a Type-C or Micro-USB emergency power interface and a hidden mechanical key override to prevent lockouts during total power failure or electronic malfunction.

For residential projects, focus on user-friendly features like mobile app integration and temporary guest codes. For commercial or office use, prioritize doors that support RFID cards and centralized management software. If the installation is for outdoor environments, ensure an IP65 or higher waterproof and dustproof rating to protect the electronic components from the elements.

Request anti-static and moisture-proof packaging to protect the PCB boards. It is highly recommended to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) where a third party tests the electronic functions of at least 10% of the total order to ensure no DOA (Dead on Arrival) units are shipped.

Focus on the warranty period and technical support. Negotiate for a 1-2% spare parts allowance (especially for handles and electronic modules) included in the bulk price. For large orders, use Made-in-China.com's secured payment services to ensure funds are only released upon successful quality verification.

Smart doors are heavy and contain electronic components. Use Sea Freight with palletization to reduce the risk of physical damage. Ensure the supplier provides the correct HS Code (typically 8301.40 for electronic locks or 7308.30 for steel doors) to avoid customs delays and ensure accurate duty calculations.

Before placing a bulk order, confirm that the App supports local languages and is available on both Google Play and the Apple App Store in your target region. Verify if the cloud server is hosted locally (e.g., AWS or Azure) to ensure low latency and compliance with local data privacy laws like GDPR.
