Scented paper sachet manufacturers

Buyers should focus on fragrance concentration (typically 10-15%) and the carrier material, such as vermiculite, EVA beads, or essential oil-infused wood powder. Ensure the outer envelope uses high-quality offset paper or specialty breathable paper (80-120gsm) to allow for a controlled scent release over a period of 30 to 90 days.

It is critical to verify that the fragrance oils comply with IFRA (International Fragrance Association) standards. For the US market, products must meet CPSC requirements, while the EU market requires REACH registration and CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) labeling to identify potential allergens. Always request an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for shipping and customs clearance.

Request samples to perform a volatility test in a controlled environment. High-quality sachets should maintain a consistent scent profile without the fragrance 'turning' or becoming rancid. Check for leak-proof sealing of the inner bag to prevent oil staining on the outer paper, and ensure the packaging is airtight (e.g., heat-sealed OPP bags) to preserve shelf life for at least 2 years before opening.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services, including custom fragrance blending, bespoke graphic printing (CMYK or Pantone), and various attachment options like silk ribbons, plastic hooks, or elastic strings. MOQs for custom printing usually range from 1,000 to 5,000 units.

Scented sachets are often classified as 'sensitive goods' due to the chemical nature of fragrance oils. To avoid customs delays, ensure the supplier provides a Certificate for Safe Transport of Chemical Goods. For sea freight, ensure the container is kept away from high-heat sources, as extreme temperatures can cause the fragrance to degrade or leak.

Focus on tiered pricing; for orders exceeding 10,000 units, you can typically negotiate a 15-20% discount. Discuss payment terms such as a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Always clarify if the quoted price includes custom packaging or if that is an additional cost.

Use secure payment methods and consider third-party inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to verify the goods before the final payment. When sourcing via Made-in-China.com, look for 'Audited Suppliers' to ensure the factory's production capacity and legal status have been verified by independent agencies.

With the global shift toward sustainability, prioritize suppliers offering biodegradable paper, natural essential oils, and plastic-free packaging. Verify if the supplier has FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification for the paper components to meet the 'green' procurement requirements of many Western retailers.
