Panel cards manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize paper weight (GSM) and surface finish. For professional applications, a weight of 300-400 GSM is recommended to ensure structural integrity. Common finishes include matte, gloss, or soft-touch lamination, which provide both aesthetic appeal and protection against moisture and fingerprints. Additionally, verify the opacity level to prevent 'show-through' if double-sided printing is required.

For large-scale B2B orders, Offset Printing is the most cost-effective and provides superior color depth. Ensure the supplier uses the Pantone Matching System (PMS) rather than just CMYK to guarantee brand color accuracy across different batches. For high-end cards, inquire about specialty techniques such as spot UV, foil stamping, or embossing to enhance the tactile experience.

To meet international sustainability requirements, look for FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification, which ensures the paper is sourced from responsibly managed forests. For cards used in food packaging or medical environments, verify compliance with FDA or REACH standards regarding non-toxic inks and adhesives. Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for bulk raw material batches.

Assess the die-cutting precision; edges should be smooth with a variance of less than 0.5mm. If the cards are intended for display panels, check the stiffness index to ensure they do not warp under humid conditions. For cards with integrated electronics (like smart panels), verify ISO/IEC 14443 compliance for RFID/NFC functionality and ensure the chip embedding process does not compromise the card's flatness.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) before authorizing the full print run. Use Made-in-China.com's Inspection Service to verify that the final mass-produced goods match the approved sample in terms of color calibration, alignment, and paper thickness. Digital proofs are often insufficient for high-stakes branding.

Panel card production is highly sensitive to economies of scale. Negotiate based on total annual volume rather than single orders to secure lower unit prices. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 5,000 vs. 50,000 units) and discuss plate-sharing options if you have multiple designs of the same size to reduce setup fees.

Paper products are highly susceptible to humidity and corner crushing. Insist on vacuum-sealed plastic wrapping for inner bundles and the use of double-walled corrugated export cartons. Ensure pallets are shrink-wrapped and reinforced with corner protectors. For sea freight, request desiccant silica gel packs inside the packaging to prevent mold.

Utilize Secured Trading Services on Made-in-China.com to ensure payments are only released upon proof of shipment. Verify the HS Code (typically 4821.10 for paper labels/cards) to accurately calculate import duties and VAT in your destination country. Be aware of anti-dumping duties that some regions apply to specific paper products from overseas.
