Oem for iphone case manufacturers

When sourcing OEM cases, you must distinguish between TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) for flexibility and shock absorption, PC (Polycarbonate) for structural rigidity, and Liquid Silicone for a premium soft-touch feel. For high-end markets, ensure the Bayer or Lubrizol branded raw materials are used to prevent yellowing (anti-yellowing grade 4-5) over time. If targeting eco-conscious consumers, verify the availability of GRS-certified recycled plastics or biodegradable PLA materials.

Precision is critical for iPhone cases due to the tight tolerances of the device. You should require the supplier to use high-precision CNC molds with a tolerance of less than 0.05mm. Ensure the case features 1:1 real machine mold opening, specifically checking for precise port cutouts, tactile button feedback, and a raised bezel (minimum 1.2mm) to protect the screen and camera lens.

To stay competitive, prioritize cases with integrated N52 neodymium magnets for MagSafe compatibility, ensuring a magnetic suction force of at least 800-1100g. Additionally, look for air-cushion technology in the corners for MIL-STD-810G drop protection and anti-fingerprint oleophobic coatings for matte finishes.

For the US market, products must be RoHS compliant and free from harmful phthalates under California Proposition 65. For the EU, REACH certification is essential to ensure chemical safety. If the case includes electronic components or strong magnets, ensure it passes CE and FCC electromagnetic interference tests.

Before sharing 3D designs or blueprints, sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Ensure the supplier does not display your custom molds or private designs in their public showroom or on platforms like Made-in-China.com. Clearly define in the contract that the ownership of the mold belongs to the buyer once the mold fee is paid.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) for approval before mass production. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or QIMA) to conduct a During Production Check (DUPRO) and a Final Random Inspection (FRI). For transaction security, use secured payment terms and prioritize suppliers with Audit Reports verified by independent bodies on Made-in-China.com.

iPhone cases have a high value-to-weight ratio. For urgent launches, use Air Freight, but for bulk stock, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is more cost-effective. Ensure the HS Code (typically 392690) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays. Be aware of anti-dumping duties or specific trade tariffs between the manufacturing hub and your destination country.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume; for example, a 5,000-unit order should yield a 10-15% discount compared to a 500-unit order. Negotiate the Mold Fee rebate policy, where the supplier refunds the mold cost once your cumulative order volume reaches a certain threshold (e.g., 20,000 units).
