Nursing scrubs manufacturers

When sourcing scrubs, prioritize a blend of Polyester, Rayon, and Spandex (commonly 72%, 21%, 7%). This combination ensures four-way stretch for mobility, moisture-wicking properties for long shifts, and wrinkle resistance. Ensure the fabric weight is between 180-210 GSM to prevent transparency while maintaining breathability.

Look for reinforced triple-stitching at stress points like pockets and side vents to prevent tearing. Essential features include multi-functional pockets (scissors, pens, and smartphone slots), antimicrobial fabric treatments (such as silver ion technology) to reduce odor and bacteria growth, and liquid-repellent finishes to protect against spills.

Suppliers should provide OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certification to ensure the textiles are free from harmful chemicals. For specialized environments, verify compliance with ANSI/AAMI PB70 for liquid barrier performance. Additionally, ensure the dyes used are colorfast to chlorine to withstand industrial laundering processes.

Request shrinkage test reports (should be <3%) and pilling resistance ratings (Grade 4 or higher). High-quality scrubs must maintain their shape and color after at least 50 high-temperature industrial wash cycles. Ask for samples to conduct a 'wash-and-wear' test before committing to a bulk order.

Utilize third-party inspection services (like SGS or Intertek) to perform During Production (DUPRO) and Final Random Inspections (FRI). On Made-in-China.com, prioritize 'Audited Suppliers' who have had their manufacturing facilities and business licenses verified by independent agencies.

Negotiate based on Total Landed Cost. While a low unit price is attractive, high shipping costs can offset savings. For custom colors (Lab Dips), expect higher MOQs (typically 500-1000 sets). You can often negotiate a 10-15% discount by committing to a yearly volume contract rather than one-off spot purchases.

Be aware of HS Code 621112 (or similar) for medical apparel to calculate correct import duties. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to take advantage of potential Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). For shipping to the US or EU, ensure all garments have permanent care labels in the destination language, including fiber content and country of origin.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released to the supplier once you confirm receipt and quality. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always pay to the verified corporate account listed on the platform's official audit report.
