Mini high speed centrifuge manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Maximum Relative Centrifugal Force (RCF) and Rotational Speed (RPM), as these determine the efficiency of separation. For molecular biology applications, a speed of at least 14,500 RPM is standard. Additionally, check the Rotor Capacity (e.g., 12 x 1.5/2.0ml tubes) and ensure the device features a brushless DC motor for maintenance-free operation and reduced noise levels (ideally <55dB).

The product must carry the CE Marking for the European market and UL or ETL certification for North America to ensure electrical safety. Since it is laboratory equipment, compliance with EN 61010-1 (safety requirements for electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use) and EN 61326-1 (EMC requirements) is essential. Furthermore, look for manufacturers with ISO 13485 if the centrifuge is intended for medical diagnostic use.

High-speed rotation generates significant heat which can denature sensitive biological samples like DNA, RNA, or proteins. Buyers must decide between ventilated models (more economical, suitable for short runs) and refrigerated models (essential for temperature-sensitive samples, maintaining 4°C at max speed). For 'Mini' versions, ensure the airflow design is optimized to prevent temperature rise exceeding 10°C above ambient during long runs.

Look for an electronic lid lock that prevents opening while the rotor is spinning and an automatic imbalance detection system that stops the motor if vibration is excessive. A short-spin (pulse) function is highly desirable for quick pelleting. The interface should offer dual display of RPM and RCF, and the unit should have a small footprint to save valuable bench space.

Centrifuges contain precision motors and sensitive electronics. You must mandate Double-Wall Corrugated Fiberboard packaging with custom-fit EPE foam inserts. Request that the supplier uses 'Fragile' and 'This Side Up' labels in multiple languages. For bulk orders, palletizing with shrink wrap is non-negotiable to prevent mechanical shocks during transit.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for a longer warranty period (e.g., 24 months) and the inclusion of spare rotors or adapters as part of the package. Ask for a video inspection of the specific units being shipped, showing the serial numbers and a successful high-speed test run to ensure quality consistency.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of shipment. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts. For large orders, consider a third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify that the technical specifications (like max RPM) match the advertised data sheet.

Verify the HS Code (typically 8421.19) to determine accurate import duties and taxes in your country. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin (CO) to benefit from potential Free Trade Agreements (FTAs). Be aware of Export Control regulations if the centrifuge reaches certain high-performance thresholds, as this may require additional licensing.
