Long wallet manufacturers

For premium long wallets, prioritize Full-Grain Leather for maximum durability and a natural patina over time, or Top-Grain Leather for a more uniform finish. If sourcing synthetic options, ensure the use of High-Grade PU (Polyurethane) with a thickness of at least 1.2mm to prevent peeling. For the interior lining, high-density polyester or silk jacquard is preferred to ensure tear resistance in card slots.

Modern buyers must demand RFID-Blocking Technology to protect end-users against electronic theft, especially for wallets with multiple card slots. Ensure the zipper hardware is made of electroplated zinc alloy or brass (such as YKK brand) to prevent oxidation and ensure smooth operation. For organizational capacity, a standard long wallet should feature at least 8-12 card slots, 2-3 bill compartments, and a secure zippered coin pocket.

Ensure all products comply with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) standards for the EU market, specifically testing for Lead, Cadmium, and Phthalates. For the US market, verify California Proposition 65 compliance. If claiming eco-friendly status, request LWG (Leather Working Group) certification to ensure sustainable tanning processes.

Check for edge painting quality; it should be smooth, multi-layered, and free of bubbles or cracks. Inspect the stitching density, aiming for 7-9 stitches per inch using bonded nylon thread for longevity. Perform a flex test on the spine to ensure the material does not crease permanently or crack after repeated opening and closing.

The primary risk is material substitution, where a supplier provides a high-quality sample but uses lower-grade 'bonded leather' or 'split leather' for the bulk order. To mitigate this, use third-party inspection services like those offered through Made-in-China.com to conduct pre-shipment material verification and lab testing.

When requesting Logo Embossing or Hot Stamping, clarify the mold fee upfront and ask for a digital mock-up before physical sampling. For large orders (over 500 units), negotiate for the waiving of sample fees or their deduction from the final invoice. Always specify Pantone color codes for custom leather dyes to avoid chromatic aberration.

Utilize Trade Assurance or Secure Payment services on Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. For shipping, Air Freight is recommended for high-value leather goods to minimize exposure to humidity in sea containers, which can cause mold growth. Ensure the use of silica gel desiccant packets in every individual wallet box.

Check the HS Code (typically 4202.31 for leather or 4202.32 for plastic/textile) to determine the specific import duties in your country. Be aware of Anti-Dumping duties that may apply to specific materials. Always request a Certificate of Origin (Form A or Form E) from the supplier to leverage potential preferential tariff treatments under Free Trade Agreements.
