I have found results from400+products and200+suppliers aboutLens microscope objective
When sourcing objectives, you must prioritize Numerical Aperture (NA), as it determines the light-gathering capacity and resolution. For high-end research, look for Plan Apochromatic (Plan Apo) lenses which correct for both spherical and chromatic aberrations across multiple wavelengths. Additionally, verify the Mechanical Tube Length (typically 160mm or Infinity-corrected) and the Cover Glass Thickness (standard is 0.17mm) to ensure compatibility with your existing microscope system.
Professional B2B buyers should require suppliers to provide ISO 9001 certification for manufacturing consistency. For medical or clinical applications, ensure the products are CE marked or FDA registered. It is also critical to verify compliance with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), especially regarding the lead and arsenic content in the optical glass, to meet environmental regulations in the EU and North America.
Achromatic objectives are the most cost-effective, correcting for two wavelengths, but only provide a flat field for the center 60% of the image. Plan objectives are essential for digital imaging and pathology as they provide a 100% flat field of view, eliminating peripheral blur. For industrial inspection where color accuracy is less critical than field flatness, Semi-Plan lenses offer a balanced economic feasibility for mid-range budgets.
Request a Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) chart from the supplier to evaluate contrast and resolution performance. You should also ask for sample testing to check for 'vignetting' or internal reflections. For high-magnification lenses (100x), confirm if they are designed for Oil Immersion or Water Immersion, and ensure the sealing technology prevents oil leakage into the internal lens groups.
The greatest risks are physical impact and moisture. Lenses are highly sensitive to vibration, which can cause internal element misalignment. Ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed anti-static packaging and shock-absorbent foam within double-walled corrugated boxes. For sea freight, include desiccant silica gel packs to prevent fungal growth on lens coatings caused by high humidity during transit.
When communicating on Made-in-China.com, provide a detailed Technical Requirement Document (TRD). Negotiate based on tiered pricing; for example, a 50-unit order may reduce costs by 15-20% compared to sample prices. Always clarify the Defective Allowance Rate; for precision optics, a rate of <1% is standard, and you should negotiate a 1-to-1 replacement clause for any lenses that fail initial QC inspection upon arrival.
Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released after proof of shipment or third-party inspection. For high-value contracts, use a Letter of Credit (L/C) or a 30% deposit / 70% balance after inspection payment structure. Never wire full payments to unverified personal accounts; always use the verified corporate bank details listed on the platform.
Optical elements often fall under specific HS Codes (e.g., 9002.11). Check for anti-dumping duties or specific tariffs between the shipping origin and your country (e.g., Section 301 tariffs for US buyers). Always request a Certificate of Origin from your supplier to potentially leverage Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) which can significantly reduce or eliminate import duties.
