I have found results from9000+products and3000+suppliers aboutLarge format press
When selecting a Large Format Press, you must prioritize printing width (typically 1.6m to 5m) and printhead technology (e.g., Epson, Ricoh, or Kyocera). Ensure the machine supports a high resolution of at least 1440 DPI for fine detail. Additionally, verify the maximum printing speed (sqm/h) in different modes (Draft vs. Quality) and the ink compatibility (UV, Solvent, Eco-Solvent, or Sublimation) to match your specific substrate requirements.
For global trade, the equipment must carry the CE Marking for the European market or UL/ETL certification for North America to ensure electrical safety. Since these machines involve chemical inks, verify compliance with RoHS and REACH standards to ensure the absence of hazardous substances. Additionally, the manufacturer should hold an ISO 9001 certification to guarantee consistent production quality and mechanical safety.
Focus on the frame construction; a heavy-duty, all-steel integrated frame is essential to minimize vibration during high-speed operation. Check for high-end components such as THK or Hiwin linear guide rails and Leadshine servo motors, which directly impact long-term mechanical precision. Request a video of a 24-hour continuous print test to verify stability and heat dissipation capabilities.
Ensure the press is compatible with professional RIP software like MainTop, Photoprint, or Onyx for accurate color management. The system should support standard image formats (TIFF, JPG, EPS, PDF) and offer an automated cleaning and capping system to prevent printhead clogging. For smart factories, check if the machine supports Ethernet connectivity for remote monitoring and data feedback.
Large format presses are precision instruments sensitive to moisture and vibration. Insist on vacuum-sealed plastic packaging combined with a reinforced fumigated wooden crate. Use FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over the freight forwarder, and always purchase comprehensive marine insurance that covers 'all risks' from the factory gate to your warehouse.
Start by requesting a detailed breakdown of the Bill of Materials (BOM) to understand where costs are allocated. Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including spare parts (extra printheads, dampers, belts). For bulk orders, aim for a 10-15% discount, but prioritize extended warranty periods (24 months instead of 12) and free technical training over the lowest possible unit price.
Utilize Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your funds. Never release the final 30-50% balance until a third-party inspection (such as SGS or Intertek) has verified the machine's functions, quantity, and packaging. Request a live video inspection where the supplier demonstrates the specific machine's serial number and performs a test print of your provided design.
Confirm the availability of remote technical support via video call and ensure the supplier provides English-language operation manuals and troubleshooting videos. Verify if the supplier maintains a local spare parts warehouse in your region or offers DHL/FedEx express shipping for urgent parts, as downtime in large-scale production can be extremely costly.
