Handles manufacturers

For high-moisture environments like bathrooms or kitchens, Stainless Steel (Grade 304 or 316) and Zinc Alloy with electroplated finishes are preferred due to their corrosion resistance. For heavy-duty industrial applications, solid aluminum or carbon steel provides the necessary tensile strength. For luxury residential projects, solid brass is the gold standard for its durability and premium tactile feel.

The most critical technical specification is the Center-to-Center (C.C.) distance, which is the measurement between the two screw holes. Standard international increments include 96mm, 128mm, 160mm, and 192mm. Additionally, verify the screw hole depth and ensure the supplier provides M4 or M6 break-away screws to accommodate varying cabinet door thicknesses (typically 18mm to 25mm).

To prevent oxidation and peeling, specify that products must pass a Salt Spray Test (ASTM B117)—ideally for 24 to 48 hours for standard use and 96+ hours for coastal or outdoor environments. Common high-quality finishes include PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) for extreme wear resistance and Electrostatic Powder Coating for consistent color across large batches.

For the European market, ensure materials comply with REACH and RoHS to certify they are free from hazardous substances like lead or cadmium. For commercial projects in the US, handles should meet ANSI/BHMA standards for cycle testing (e.g., Grade 1, 2, or 3) to guarantee they can withstand 100,000+ opening/closing cycles.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). Since handles are prone to surface scratches and plating defects, specify an AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) of 1.5 or 2.5. You should also utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure payment is only released after the goods pass quality verification.

Focus on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) flexibility for different finishes. While the total order may be large, you may need smaller quantities of niche colors (like Rose Gold). Negotiate a tiered pricing structure where the unit price drops by 5-10% as you move from 500 to 2,000 units. Also, clarify if custom mold costs can be rebated once a certain volume is reached.

Handles are dense and heavy, making sea freight (LCL or FCL) the most economical choice for bulk orders. Ensure the supplier uses individual polybags for each handle to prevent friction scratches during transit, and reinforce outer cartons with plastic strapping and corner protectors to prevent collapsing under weight.

Check the HS Code (typically 8302.42) for your specific country to identify any anti-dumping duties or specific tariffs on steel/aluminum hardware. Request FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your shipping costs and choose your own freight forwarder who understands the customs clearance requirements of your destination country.
