Dx4 printhead manufacturers

The Dx4 printhead is a classic micro-piezo technology component. You must verify the nozzle resolution (360 dpi per color) and ensure it supports the specific ink type you use, such as Eco-Solvent, Mild-Solvent, or Water-based inks. Check for the head ID and voltage code, as these are critical for synchronization with the printer's mainboard to ensure color consistency and droplet accuracy.

Original new heads come in sealed, anti-static factory packaging with a unique QR code or serial number. Inspect the nozzle plate for any microscopic scratches or dried ink residue. Refurbished heads often show slight wear on the manifold or have non-original protective films. Always request a nozzle check pattern report from the supplier before shipping to ensure 100% firing efficiency.

Ensure the supplier provides CE certification for electronic components. For the shipping of sensitive electronics, the packaging must meet ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection standards. Additionally, confirm if the head is a 'locked' or 'unlocked' version, as this determines compatibility with different generations of Chinese-made large format printers and older Roland/Mimaki/Mutoh models.

Dx4 heads are primarily used in outdoor advertising, textile printing, and signage. To prevent clogging, the environment should maintain a humidity level of 40-60%. Buyers should ensure their end-users use high-quality filtered inks to avoid damaging the delicate piezo crystals. Regular cleaning of the capping station and wiper is essential to extend the head's lifespan, which typically ranges from 12 to 24 months under optimal conditions.

Printheads are high-value, sensitive items. Use Secure Payment services on Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after delivery. Insist on a pre-shipment inspection where the supplier provides a video of the specific serial number being packed. Avoid deals that are significantly below market price, as these often involve 'washed' or 'second-hand' heads marketed as new.

Due to their fragility and high value, use reputable international couriers (DHL, FedEx, or UPS) with 'Fragile' labeling. Ensure the supplier uses double-layered cushioning and vacuum-sealed bags to prevent moisture ingress during air transit. It is highly recommended to purchase shipping insurance covering the full invoice value to protect against loss or physical impact during customs handling.

In the industry, printheads are often sold with no warranty once ink has passed through them. Therefore, negotiate a 'DOA' (Dead on Arrival) guarantee, where the supplier replaces the unit if it fails an initial dry electronic test. For long-term partnerships, ask for technical support via video call to assist your local engineers with the initial installation and head alignment.

Check the HS Code (typically 844391) for printheads in your country to calculate import duties. Ensure the Commercial Invoice and Packing List accurately reflect the product description to avoid customs delays. Be aware of anti-dumping regulations or specific import permits required for electronic spare parts in regions like Brazil or the EU.
