Disposable plastic raincoat manufacturers

The most common materials are PE (Polyethylene), LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene), and PVC. For high-volume disposable use, PE is the most cost-effective and lightweight option. You should specify the thickness (measured in mm or microns); standard disposable coats are typically 0.015mm to 0.025mm. Thicker versions (0.03mm+) offer better tear resistance but increase the unit cost.

Ensure the supplier complies with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) for the European market to guarantee the plastic is free from harmful phthalates. For the US market, verify compliance with CPSIA if the products are intended for children. Always request a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) to confirm the non-toxicity of the raw materials.

Prioritize designs with heat-sealed seams rather than stitched ones to ensure 100% waterproofing. Key features include a drawstring hood to secure the fit in windy conditions and elastic or heat-sealed cuffs. For portability, request individual vacuum packaging or 'pocket-sized' folding, which reduces shipping volume and enhances retail appeal.

Customization is highly feasible but usually requires a higher MOQ (typically 5,000 to 10,000 units). The most common method is silk-screen printing for logos. To maintain cost-efficiency, limit the design to 1-2 colors and a single position (e.g., chest or back). Alternatively, customizing the outer packaging insert card is a cheaper way to brand the product without altering the raincoat production line.

Always request a pre-production sample to test the tensile strength and seam integrity. For large orders, hire a third-party inspection service (like V-Trust or SGS) to perform a Final Random Inspection (FRI) before the balance payment is made. Focus on checking the actual thickness vs. the stated specification, as 'down-gauging' is a common way for low-quality factories to save costs.

Leverage the tiered pricing model; ask for quotes at 10k, 50k, and 100k units to understand the supplier's margin. Negotiate based on packaging efficiency—if you can accept bulk packing instead of individual retail bags, you can often reduce the price by 3-5%. Always confirm if the quoted price is FOB (Free On Board) to avoid unexpected local port charges.

Since disposable raincoats are lightweight but can be bulky, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical choice for large volumes. If you are sourcing for a specific event with a tight deadline, consider Sea-Air combined transport. Ensure the supplier uses strong 5-layer corrugated export cartons to prevent the plastic from being crushed or punctured during long-transit stacking.

Use the Secured Trading Service provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until shipping documents are verified. Avoid using private wire transfers; always pay to the official corporate bank account listed on the supplier's audited profile. Verify that the supplier is a 'Diamond Member' or 'Audited Supplier' to ensure they have undergone field inspections.
