Cat 320c l manufacturers

The Cat 320c L is a heavy-duty hydraulic excavator known for its reliability. You must verify the Cat 3066 T diesel engine performance, ensuring it meets the rated 138 hp (103 kW). Check the operating weight, which should be approximately 21,000 kg (46,300 lbs) for the 'L' (Long undercarriage) version. Additionally, inspect the hydraulic system pressure (34,300 kPa) and the maximum dig depth (approx. 6.6 meters) to ensure the machine meets your specific project requirements.

Since the 320c L is a legacy model, focus on the service hour meter and look for signs of frame welding or structural cracks on the boom and arm. Request a hydraulic oil analysis report to check for metal shavings, which indicate internal pump wear. Ensure the undercarriage (rollers, idlers, and tracks) has at least 60-70% service life remaining to avoid immediate high-cost replacements.

The Cat 320c L typically meets Tier 2 or Tier 3 emission standards. Before importing, you must confirm if your country allows these levels, as many regions in the EU and North America now require Tier 4 Final. Ensure the supplier provides the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certificate and a Certificate of Origin to facilitate customs clearance and verify the machine's age.

This model is a 'workhorse' ideal for general construction, road building, and large-scale landscaping. Its long undercarriage ('L') provides enhanced stability on soft terrain, making it suitable for trenching and heavy lifting in utility projects. For mining or quarrying, ensure it is equipped with heavy-duty buckets and reinforced linkages.

Request a live video inspection of the machine cold-starting and operating under load. Hire a third-party inspection service (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a physical audit at the supplier's yard. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone comprehensive on-site verification of their business premises and inventory.

For heavy excavators, Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) shipping is the safest and often most cost-effective method. Alternatively, Flat Rack containers can be used if RoRo is unavailable. If you choose Breakbulk, ensure the machine is properly rust-proofed with wax spray for the sea voyage. Always clarify the Incoterms (typically FOB or CIF) to define who bears the risk during transit.

Negotiate based on the total package, including spare parts kits (filters, seals, and teeth) for the first 1,000 hours of operation. Ask for a warranty on major components (engine and main pump) for at least 6 months. If buying multiple units, leverage volume discounts and request customized painting or branding as part of the deal.

Never wire full payment upfront. Use Secured Trading Services or Letters of Credit (L/C) to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment (Bill of Lading). Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) explicitly lists the Serial Number (VIN) of the specific machine you inspected to prevent 'switch-and-bait' tactics.
