Buyers should prioritize engine displacement (CC) based on intended use, typically ranging from 150cc for light utility to 500cc+ for heavy-duty tasks. Ensure the vehicle features a water-cooled engine for better thermal management and a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) for smooth operation. For the 'Camo' aspect, verify the application method; Water Transfer Printing (Hydro-dipping) is superior to basic stickers as it offers better UV resistance and scratch durability in rugged environments.

For the US market, vehicles must have EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) or CARB certification for emissions, and comply with ANSI/SVIA standards for safety. For the European market, CE marking and e-Mark (EEC) certification are mandatory for road-legal versions. Always request COC (Certificate of Conformity) documents to ensure the vehicle can be registered in the destination country.

Focus on the suspension system; look for adjustable oil-damped shock absorbers and double A-arm independent suspension for superior handling. The tires should be 6-ply rated all-terrain tires to prevent punctures. Additionally, check the chassis material, prioritizing high-strength reinforced steel frames with anti-corrosion coating to prevent rust in humid or muddy conditions.

Camo ATVs are primarily used for hunting, forestry management, and agricultural patrolling where camouflage is functional. For hunting, look for low-noise exhaust systems and front/rear cargo racks with a minimum load capacity of 50kg and 100kg respectively. For agricultural use, ensure the ATV has a tow hitch with a rated towing capacity of at least 500kg.

The biggest risks include non-compliance with local emissions laws, which can lead to customs seizure, and shipping damage. To mitigate this, ensure the supplier uses iron-frame crates inside the shipping cartons. Always use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to protect your payment until the Bill of Lading is confirmed and the quality is verified.

Don't just negotiate on the unit price; negotiate for a 1-2% wear-parts kit (filters, spark plugs, belts) to be included for free. Discuss SKD (Semi-Knocked Down) vs. CKD (Completely Knocked Down) shipping; CKD can significantly reduce import duties and ocean freight costs if you have the local capacity to assemble the vehicles.

ATVs are classified as Dangerous Goods (UN3166) if the battery is connected or if there is residual fuel. Ensure the supplier provides a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the battery and a Non-DG (Non-Dangerous Goods) declaration by draining all fluids. For shipping to the US or Europe, verify the Harmonized System (HS) Code (typically 8703.10) to calculate accurate anti-dumping or standard import duties.

Look for Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Check their export history to your specific region and request a video factory tour to inspect their welding robots and final assembly testing line, including their dyno-testing procedures.
