Burglar window manufacturers

When sourcing burglar windows, prioritize frame materials such as 6063-T5 aluminum alloy or reinforced stainless steel for structural integrity. The glass type is critical; ensure it uses tempered laminated glass (e.g., 5mm+0.76PVB+5mm) which remains intact even if shattered. Additionally, check for multi-point locking systems and 304/316 stainless steel security mesh (often called 'bulletproof mesh') with a wire diameter of at least 0.8mm to prevent cutting or impact.

For the European market, look for the EN 1627-1630 standard, which classifies resistance levels from RC1 to RC6. For the US market, ensure compliance with ASTM F588 (Standard Test Methods for Resistance of Window Assemblies to Forced Entry). If the windows are intended for coastal areas, they must also meet AS2047 or TAS 201/202/203 for hurricane impact resistance and salt spray corrosion testing.

Request third-party test reports specifically for static loading, dynamic impact, and manual burglary attempts. For long-term durability, verify the powder coating thickness (should be ≥60μm) and ensure the hardware (hinges and locks) has passed a salt spray test (typically 48-96 hours) to prevent rust, which can compromise security over time.

Most professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services, including custom dimensions, color matching (RAL colors), and integrated fly-screen options. You can also request thermal break technology to improve energy efficiency without sacrificing the security features of the burglar window.

The biggest risks are measurement errors and shipping damage. Mitigate these by requiring the supplier to provide detailed CAD drawings for approval before production. To prevent damage to glass and frames, insist on heavy-duty plywood crate packaging rather than just cardboard, and consider hiring a third-party inspector to verify the load before the container is sealed.

Focus negotiations on the weight of the aluminum profiles and the brand of the hardware. A lower price often means thinner walls or generic locks. Aim for a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment against the Bill of Lading (B/L), and use Trade Resources on Made-in-China.com to verify the supplier's 'Audited Supplier' status to ensure they have a physical factory and valid export licenses.

Windows are high-volume, fragile cargo. It is often more cost-effective to ship via Full Container Load (FCL) to minimize handling. Ensure the supplier uses desiccant silica gel packs inside the packaging to prevent 'glass sweat' or oxidation during long sea voyages through humid climates. Always clarify the Incoterms; CIF or DAP are common, but FOB gives you more control over the shipping timeline and costs.

Always conduct transactions through secure payment channels provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Avoid transferring large sums to private bank accounts. Request a Proforma Invoice (PI) that clearly states the detailed material specifications, lead time, and warranty terms (ideally 5-10 years) to serve as legal recourse in case of disputes.
