Bag shopping manufacturers

For Non-Woven Polypropylene (NWPP) bags, ensure a weight of 80-120 GSM for durability. If sourcing Cotton or Canvas, look for 6oz to 12oz weights depending on the intended load. For Plastic (LDPE/HDPE), specify thickness in microns (μm) to ensure compliance with regional 'single-use' bans. Always verify tensile strength and reinforced stitching at handle stress points to prevent tearing.

Buyers must ensure products meet REACH (EU) or California Prop 65 (US) standards regarding lead and phthalate content in dyes and inks. For eco-friendly claims, look for GRS (Global Recycled Standard) or OEKO-TEX Standard 100. If the bags are for food contact, they must adhere to FDA or EU Food Grade regulations.

Choose Silk Screen Printing for simple logos and cost-efficiency on small runs. For complex, multi-color designs, Heat Transfer or Rotogravure (Lamination) offers higher resolution. Ensure the supplier uses Eco-friendly water-based inks that pass colorfastness tests (ISO 105-X12) to prevent the logo from peeling or fading after use.

Prioritize bags with 'X-shape' reinforced stitching on handles. For grocery applications, include a removable bottom PE board for stability. Consider foldable designs with snap buttons or pouches for portability, and water-resistant coatings (like OPP lamination) to protect contents from rain or spills.

Always request a Pre-Production Sample (PPS) before the mass run. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or SGS) to conduct a During Production Check (DUPRO) and a Final Random Inspection (FRI). Focus on checking seam strength, dimensions, and print alignment against the approved golden sample.

Leverage tiered pricing by asking for quotes at 1k, 5k, and 10k units. Negotiate payment terms such as 30% deposit and 70% balance after inspection but before shipment. Inquire about plate-making fees (mold costs); many suppliers will waive these if the order volume exceeds a certain threshold.

Shopping bags are high-volume but relatively low-weight, so Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical method. Ensure the supplier provides the correct HS Code (e.g., 4202.92) to avoid customs delays. For eco-bags, check if your country offers duty exemptions for recycled materials to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
