Aquarium lights led manufacturers

For planted tanks, prioritize lights with a full spectrum (660nm red and 450nm blue) to support photosynthesis. For marine/reef tanks, ensure the light provides high PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) levels and a color temperature between 10,000K and 20,000K. Additionally, look for dimming capabilities and programmable timers to simulate natural sunrise and sunset cycles, which reduces stress on aquatic life.

Since these products operate near water, IP67 or IP68 waterproof ratings are critical for safety. Ensure the products carry CE (Europe), UL (North America), or SAA (Australia) certifications to meet local electrical safety laws. Furthermore, compliance with the RoHS directive is essential to ensure no hazardous substances like lead or mercury are used in the LEDs.

High-quality LED lights should feature aluminum alloy heat sinks or active cooling fans to dissipate heat, as excessive heat degrades LED chips and shifts color spectrums. Inquire if the supplier uses reputable chip brands like Cree, Osram, or Epistar, which typically offer a lifespan of 50,000+ hours. Request LM-80 test reports to verify lumen maintenance over time.

Seek suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer OEM/ODM services, including custom spectrum ratios, branded mobile app integration (Tuya/Smart Life), and adjustable mounting brackets (rimless vs. rimmed tanks). Offering modular designs where LED boards can be replaced without discarding the entire fixture provides a significant competitive edge in sustainability.

Always arrange for a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency to test the waterproof seal and electrical stability. Use Secure Payment services on Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after the shipping documents are verified. Additionally, request double-layered corrugated packaging with EPE foam inserts to prevent breakage during long-distance sea freight.

Start by requesting a sample order at a slightly higher price to verify quality. For bulk orders, aim for a 15-20% discount when exceeding 500 units. Negotiate for spare parts (2-3% extra drivers or LED beads) to be included in the shipment at no extra cost, which reduces your local after-sales service burden.

Be aware of the HS Code (typically 9405.42) to calculate accurate import duties. For large volumes, FOB (Free On Board) is recommended to maintain control over shipping costs and logistics providers. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to potentially benefit from Free Trade Agreements (FTA) that may reduce or exempt tariffs in your specific country.
