Metal entry door manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize Galvanized Steel or Cold-Rolled Steel for the door skin to ensure rust resistance. The gauge thickness is critical; for high-security residential or commercial use, a 16 to 18-gauge steel is recommended. Additionally, the internal core should consist of High-Density Polyurethane Foam for thermal insulation or Honeycomb Paper for cost-effective sound dampening.

Depending on the target market, ensure the products meet UL 10C or NFPA 252 for fire-rated performance (e.g., 20, 60, or 90-minute ratings). For the European market, CE Marking and EN 14351-1 standards are mandatory. Always request ISO 9001 certification from the manufacturer to verify consistent quality management systems.

Focus on the Multi-Point Locking System, which secures the door at the top, bottom, and middle. Verify the presence of Anti-Jury Bolts (dog bolts) on the hinge side to prevent the door from being lifted out. For smart homes, ensure the door frame is compatible with Electronic Smart Locks and has pre-drilled wiring channels if necessary.

For outdoor exposure, Powder Coating is superior to traditional spray painting as it offers higher resistance to UV rays, scratching, and peeling. For a premium aesthetic, Heat Transfer Printing can simulate wood grain textures while maintaining the structural benefits of metal. Ensure the coating passes a Salt Spray Test (minimum 500 hours) for coastal installations.

Metal doors are heavy and prone to edge denting. Insist on Five-Layer Corrugated Cartons with EPE Foam corner protectors and Wooden Palletization for LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments. For bulk orders, Full Container Load (FCL) is preferred to minimize handling; ensure the supplier uses Airbags or Strapping to prevent shifting during transit.

Look for Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site inspections by third-party agencies like SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Review their Production Capacity and Export Experience specifically to your region. Requesting a Video Factory Audit via the platform can help you inspect the welding precision and automated coating lines in real-time.

Never proceed to mass production without a Confirmed Shop Drawing. Ensure all measurements are in Millimeters (mm) to avoid conversion errors. Specify the Opening Direction (Left/Right Hand, Inward/Outward) clearly. It is highly recommended to purchase a Golden Sample for physical fit-testing before releasing the 70% balance payment.

Utilize Secured Payment Services offered by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. For large contracts, use Letter of Credit (L/C) or a staged T/T payment (30% deposit, 70% against B/L copy). Always hire a Third-Party Inspector to conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to check dimensions, finish quality, and quantity.
