Iron security door manufacturers

When selecting an iron security door, prioritize cold-rolled steel or galvanized steel for the frame and panel to ensure rust resistance and structural strength. The thickness of the steel sheet is critical; for high-security needs, look for a door leaf thickness of at least 70mm to 90mm and a steel plate thickness of 1.0mm to 2.0mm. Ensure the interior is filled with high-density honeycomb paper, rock wool, or fireproof board to provide necessary sound insulation and thermal protection.

A professional-grade security door must feature a multi-point locking system (locking at the top, bottom, and side) to prevent prying. Insist on Class C lock cylinders, which offer the highest level of technical anti-theft protection. Additionally, verify that the hinges are reinforced and anti-drill, and check for integrated features like hidden doorbells, wide-angle peepholes, or smart biometric (fingerprint/IC card) access for modern commercial or residential projects.

For international trade, ensure the products meet CE marking for the European market or UL certification for North America. Specifically, look for ISO 9001 for manufacturing quality management and EN 1627-1630 (RC2 to RC4 levels) for burglar resistance. If the door is intended for public buildings, it must also have a Fire Rating certification (e.g., 30, 60, or 90 minutes) to comply with local safety codes.

To prevent corrosion, especially in coastal or humid areas, the door should undergo a powder coating or heat-transfer printing process. This ensures the finish is UV-resistant and anti-scratch. Ask the supplier for salt spray test reports to confirm the longevity of the finish. For luxury projects, hand-forged wrought iron details should be inspected for smooth welding joints and the absence of sharp burrs.

The main risks are deformation and surface scratching due to the product's weight. You must mandate reinforced packaging, including plastic film wrapping, thick foam corner protectors, and strong wooden crates or pallets. For bulk orders, ensure the container is properly balanced and braced to prevent shifting during sea transit.

Standard door sizes vary significantly between regions (e.g., US vs. EU vs. Middle East). Always provide a detailed technical drawing and request a pre-production sample or a 1:1 CAD drawing for approval. Confirm whether the measurements refer to the wall-to-wall opening or the outer frame dimensions to avoid costly installation failures.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for spare parts (like extra lock cylinders or handles) to be included in the shipment. For large-scale projects, request a staggered payment schedule linked to production milestones and a third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify quality before the final balance is paid.

Iron and steel products are often subject to anti-dumping duties or specific tariffs in certain countries. Verify the HS Code (typically 730830) with your local customs broker. Ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to potentially benefit from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and reduce import taxes.
